Don’t put those camp chairs away just yet, An Autumn Mariposa is just around the corner!
“Thousands of ecstatic Mariposa Folk Festival fans welcomed live music back with open arms a month ago,” Mariposa Folk Foundation President Pam Carter said. “To further celebrate the return of live music to our area and provide another reason to visit Simcoe County, we have partnered with the county to present a unique outdoor afternoon festival.”
An Autumn Mariposa will take place at Bayview Memorial Park, 9th Concession Road, Township of Oro-Medonte on Saturday, October 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature performances by: Aleksi Campagne, Treasa Levasseur, Union Duke and Irish Mythen.
But wait; there’s more live music to take in on Saturday, October 1!
Less than three hours after the outdoor concert ends, the Mariposa in Concert 2022-23 season kicks off with an amazing lineup at the Orillia Opera House: the extraordinary harmonies of Juno-nominated Dala, followed by award-winning singer songwriter Julian Taylor.
Opera House doors open at 7 p.m. and Dala takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $40 each for An Autumn Mariposa or the Orillia Opera House concert, or $70 for both events. All tickets are available at the Orillia Opera House, online at orilliaoperahouse.ca or in person at the box office.
