E-Biking with FR Tours

ToDoOntario - Yours Outdoors, E Bike Tours

Are you looking to try something new? Look no farther! Yours Outdoors has got you covered! E-bikes are an exciting way to get outside and explore! They can be fun for everyone but are also excellent options for those recovering from an injury and people who want to ride together but are at vastly different skill levels, including multi-generational families who enjoy riding together, or friends who are all at varied fitness levels.

There are a few options to try E-Biking:

  • Drop-In E-Bike Rides – 1hr (including setup time)

We offer weekly drop-in rides to come check out our bikes and ride with a group. The weekly rides start at different locations throughout the summer, so check the calendar to see where the next ride is scheduled. Anyone who comes out to do a Drop-In Ride gets a $10 off coupon code good for booking any tour (save $10/person).

  • Intro to E-Bikes – 1 hour (including setup time)

We supply the bikes and can teach anyone the basics to riding an e-bike. We will cover shifting gears and using the variable power-assist options. Our bikes are pedal-assisted. This means that if you stop pedalling, the bike also stops adding power. The power can also be switched off and the bike can be ridden like a traditional non-powered bike. This is suitable for all skill levels, from those who are avid cyclists to those who rarely get on a bike. It is for anyone willing to try something new. This is a basic overview of how everything works and is a great option for someone’s first time on an e-bike, a refresher, or someone who just wants to go for a short ride.

  • Learn to E-Bike – 3 hours (including setup time)

We can bring bikes to you, or meet you at one of our trailhead options and teach anyone the basics to riding an e-bike. We will include shifting gears, using the variable power options, braking, and cornering. Our bikes are pedal assisted. This means that if you stop pedalling, the bike also stops adding power. The power can also be switched off and the bike can be ridden like a traditional non-powered bike. Ideal for those who want a little more hands-on time than offered in Intro to E-Bikes.

This is suitable for all skill levels, from those who are avid cyclists to those who rarely get on a bike. It is for anyone willing to try something new.

  • E-Bike & Instagram – 4 hours (including setup time)

We will take you on a scenic e-bike ride and stop at all the right places to snap the perfect shot!

All you need to do is bring your own camera; it can be whatever kind you want, from SLR, to point-and-shoot, to your phone! No experience with a camera? No problem. We will teach you the basics on how to compose a shot and also how to use the camera settings specific to your device to create the best photos possible! Come enjoy nature and bring home photographic memories to share your experience with others.

  • E-Bike & Disc Golf – 3 hours (including setup time)

Meet at one of our trailhead options for an E-Bike ride and then explore the natural surroundings while learning the basics to playing disc golf.

Disc golf, an increasingly popular sport, is similar to golf, where you start each hole from a tee area and attempt to make it to the basket in as few throws as possible, hoping to achieve par. This sport combines a scenic hike in the woods with a fun test of skill and accuracy.

This is suitable for all skill levels, from those who are avid cyclists to those who rarely get on a bike. It is also suitable for those who are new to disc golf, or have played before. It is for anyone willing to experience something new.

  • E-Biking for Cyclists – Custom

So you’ve heard all the news about e-bikes and how they are so hot right now? But you’re a serious cyclist that wants to get a good workout when you ride, that doesn’t mix with e-bikes, does it? Let us help you change your mind. E-bikes can provide an amazing cardio workout without the added strain on joints. This means you can still break a sweat and cover a lot of distance while getting a workout that will have you out of breath in no time (if that’s what you want). They are also great for increasing your cadence. The great thing about a pedal assisted e-bike (vs. a throttle) is that, if you stop pedalling, the bike stops assisting, so if you want to keep moving fast, you have to pedal your heart out. They are also ideal for anyone recovering from an injury because they allow full range of movement with decreased joint stress. A great way to build back muscle post-injury without worrying about overstressing atrophied muscles and joints.
