Paddling is one of the greatest pastimes of Canadians. Many have picked up a paddle for an adventure on a local lake, but do you know the plan of the paddle, from log to lake?
In this unique and artistic adventure, you’ll get a chance to witness the plan of the paddle, from start to finish. Join skilled woodworker Corey Pietryszyn for a detailed tour of the Haliburton Forest Paddleshop, learning about the art, science, and beauty of paddle craftsmanship. After a tour of the shop, you’ll get a chance to add your unique laser engraving to a paddle of your own; a usable piece of art that will hold the memories of the day! If you have a design in mind, please bring it along and you can try to get it laser engraved! If you have questions about design style, please feel free to reach out to Yours Outdoors in advance.
Please note it will take 2-4 days to cure a raw paddle, and pickup/dropoff arrangements can be made with Yours Outdoors. If you’d like to pick up a paddle to use the day of the experience, you can order a custom paddle in advance from the Paddleshop, or you can pick up a paddle of your own from Haliburton Forest Basecamp.
