This half day tour involves a visit to Greenmantle Farms near Wilberforce where you will explore some amazing undisturbed “gems beneath your boots” including fluorichterite, orthoclase, tremolite, actinolite. apatite, and quartz. Discover how these remarkable crystals formed and how the minerals below can influence the flora and fauna above. This is a non-collecting tour – cameras are welcome but hammers are not. This tour is 2-3 hours in length and involves hiking for approximately 4 km. Transportation and lunch is available for an extra fee.
