Georgian Bay Kayak Day Trips

ToDoOntario - Canadian Adventure Expeditions, kayak tour

Join local guide Emara Streich on a Georgian Bay kayak day trip this summer! Your day will begin at 10am at a waterfront base camp in Carling (near Snug Harbour), where we launch from a scenic private beach. You will paddle past the iconic Snug Harbour Lighthouse, through beautiful channels surrounded by striking geological formations, and explore Franklin Island! We will make a few stops throughout the day, taking time to explore on foot, relax, and cool off with a swim in the bay. We will return to base camp by 4pm. Our route lies within the Georgian Bay Biosphere, a UNESCO biosphere recognized for its biodiversity. This breathtaking region is home to several rare species and their habitats. Your hosts love kayaking, as it is a low impact sport not only on one’s body, but on the environment. Paddling is truly the best way to explore what Georgian Bay has to offer. Emara studied Adventure Tourism at Fanshawe College and has spent several years promoting sustainable tourism & guiding kayak trips on Georgian Bay. Paddle with her and you will understand her passion for exploring the largest freshwater archipelago in the world, the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay.
