FISHING, BOATING & CANOEING
Mountain Lake is great for fishing, and fall fishing is particularly good. Mountain Lake also flows directly into Horseshoe Lake and then into the Gull River at the Minden White Water Preserve. Ogopogo is the only Resort with direct water access to the Preserve. The area is very scenic – great for a canoe-hike combination.
HIKING & BIKING
The Haliburton Highlands are known for hiking and biking trails. The Hike Haliburton Festival occurs each October with guided hikes to the most scenic areas. If you enjoy mountain biking, there are a number of trails in the area from novice to expert. Algonquin Park is also a pretty one-hour drive away.
