Honour the great Canadian Group of Seven by spending the evening on 12 Mile Lake beach, capturing the sky as it sets on the land, the lake, and the iconic canoe. You’ll see summer sunsets in a whole new way. All oil painting supplies will be included, as well as an 11×14 canvas.
There is absolutely no experience necessary for this experience, and all experience levels are welcome! You will be guided by local artist and plein air enthusiast, Harvey Walker, who has been painting for years and has a studio just north of Minden. His landscape work captures the spirit and beauty of the Highlands and when not in the studio painting or teaching, he can often be seen painting roadside. He is an experienced instructor and his love for painting comes across as he shares his insights to all levels of students especially beginners. He is a member of the Haliburton Studio tour and the Tour de Forest.
