Trail Sketching Workshop at Wye Marsh

ToDoOntario - WyeMarsh, Trail Sketching

When we take time to slow down and look closely at the fine details of the natural world it’s amazing how much more we see. From the fuzz on a Sumac branch to the fractal nature of a snowflake, drawing allows us to look closer at the things in nature that we usually overlook. This interactive workshop will teach participants to draw what they see in nature, focusing on a landscape perspective.

Using basic drawing principles including light and shadow, drawing lines and shapes, as well as incorporating perspective into their drawing, participants will create a unique drawing based on what they see in the Marsh while gaining new skills and insight into nature drawing.

Bring your sketch book and favorite pencils/conte/media, or loose paper and drawing pencils will be provided!

Where: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
When: Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
