Learn more about the many uses of Ontario’s wildflowers. No matter what the season, Wildflowers are abundant in every landscape, from city parking lots to cottage shorelines and every where in between. These ecologically important plants are not only inherently beautiful, they are important for our pollinators, and our ancestors used wildflowers as food, medicine and artwork. From the very early Colts Foot of spring, ample Pineapple weed mid summer, to the common familiar Plantain mid to late summer. These are just a few of hundreds of Wildflowers that can be used as teas, tinctures, balms, pressings and fresh food.
