Winter Adventures at Scenic Caves

Scenic Caves is OPEN DAILY (9am-5pm), with the last entrance at 3:30pm.  Activities and services available will vary depending upon weather conditions.

CURRENTLY A DAY TRAIL PASS INCLUDES: 12km Hiking Trails, Suspension Bridge, Look Out Points, Children’s Adventure Playground, Wooden Animal Carvings, and a Scavenger Hunt.  Note: the cross country skiing and snowshoeing will open when enough snow has been received.  

Available at additional cost: Hot and Cold Food Services, Gift Shop, Apparel & Pro Shop Services.

Set within one of Canada’s eighteen UNESCO biosphere reserves, lies Scenic Caves Nordic Centre – a spectacular winter playground. With a unique mountaintop location, the Nordic Centre is nestled in 370 unspoiled acres of the Niagara Escarpment.  The location provides the perfect elevation for reliable snow conditions and consistent temperatures, all season long. Glide along 27km trail network by cross country ski, or hike by snowshoe on 12km of trails. These trails are professionally groomed and track set daily and include access to Southern Ontario’s longest Suspension Footbridge!

Many native species call this 200 year old forest home and await your arrival. A wide variety of birds including winter owls, deer, rabbits and other wildlife can be seen during any given winter visit. 

OPEN DAILY INCLUDING HOLIDAYS 9AM-5PM (LAST ENTRANCE AT 3:30PM) 

Reservations are not available. Day tickets and rentals can only be purchased on-site at Scenic Caves on a first come first serve basis. Mid-week and early entrance is advised.

Snowshoes or Cross Country Skis are required to access the winter trails.  You can use your own equipment, or rentals are available on site.
